As I read the Anne Franks Diary I felt a sense of happiness yet a sense of darkness. I read Anne's accounts of the war and she just seemed so okay with being where she was, she never lost hope, never lost her sense of happiness and wonder, but she quarreled so much with her family that it almost seemed unbearable. I think that if you're interested in any part of human history, you should be interested in The Diary of Anne Frank because as the saying goes, "if we do not learn from our history we are doomed to repeat it." Anne Frank does have her dull moments in the book, however it almost always keeps you on the edge of your seats since you are always wondering if and when the Nazis will arrive.
